But as more and more is known about genetics, the books become outdated. I will list the newest version at top. Equine Color Genetics by Dr Philip Sponenberg, 2nd Edition ISBN 0-8138-0759-x Equine Color Genetics by Dr Philip Sponenberg, 1st Edition ISBN 0-8138-2905-4 Horse Color by Drs Philip Sponenberg and Bonnie Weaver, 1983 book ISBN 0-914327-46-1 Jeanette Gower's book has a lot of great pictures of rare colors, but some are mislabled.
